Dividing the BOQ into Bids
In large projects there are often dozens of bids, a bid for every work type and matching specific rows to each bid can be a challenge.
To tackle this problem the ConWize platform enables users to divide the BOQ into bids at the click of a button. This feature saves time and effort later on, each bid that will open will automatically have the following data in each bid: BOQ rows, deadline and cover letter.
After ensuring your BOQ in the project is complete (and validating that you have performed the BOQ check).
The next step is to press (from the BOQ page):
A new popup will appear with the BOQ from the project:
Here you need to match the row to the work type, it can be done easily by:
- Filtering the levels here:
If your BOQ is leveled up correctly then matching each chapter to a work type can be done quickly, choose the right work type from the dropdown per chapter:
- Searching the BOQ based on keywords to find specific rows in which you would like to open a bid for:
After pressing: the platform will open a new bid for every work type that you have set.
When going to the bids tab all the new bids will be there (in draft mode) along with the BOQ rows chosen, deadline and cover letter.
All that is left to do (for every bid) is add the docs, choose the relevant companies you want to send the bid to and press send.
Important notes:
If you have already opened bids with a work type for this project, the platform will turn the work type field grey, this is to help you understand what has been opened already.
If you would like to add rows to a certain bid, set the work type, a popup will appear asking you what you would like to do:
You are able to add remarks next to each row for internal use later on, this can be done by pressing here:
and adding the column by ticking the box:
Don't worry if you haven't matched all the rows to a work type, the platform will save your preferences for you to complete later on.
